The Democrats are playing a dangerous game. It’s getting harder and harder not to conclude that Democrats are open to the idea of a coup d’état. “By any means necessary” seems to be the credo under which they are operating when it comes to removing Trump from office. They’ve instigated at least two assassination attempts against Trump, they’ve tried to bankrupt him and imprison him. Now they appear to be trying to turn our military and intelligence against him.

Six Congressional Democrats just made a video where they implore members of the military and intelligence services “Don’t Give Up the Ship” in which they imply that Trump is giving them illegal orders. They (correctly) remind service members that they are not required to obey unlawful orders, but fail to give any specific examples. The clear intent is to insinuate that Trump has been issuing unlawful orders, and to encourage members of the military to disobey their Commander in Chief.

The video is just one of a series of actions taken by politicians and other leaders on the Left to label Trump and all his followers enemies of the state. Their heated rhetoric has already led to two assassination attempts against Trump and a successful one against Charlie Kirk. They’ve already used our intelligence agencies including the FBI and CIA against him with scheme best known as the Russian Collusion Hoax. They’ve already used the power of law enforcement against him with the Mar a Lago raid, and several specious criminal and civil charges levied against him . Now they appear to be trying to enlist members of the US military itself in their coup. The apparent objective is to sway a service member to refuse an order, perhaps refuse to deploy to assist law enforcement in some American city, or not to engage a drug boat in international waters. In short, they are attempting to create a permission structure for members of our military to disobey orders they do not agree with.

It’s becoming clearer that members of the Democrat party believe that “any means necessary” includes a military junta. If lawfare cannot succeed, and if they cannot persuade some nutcase to do their dirty work for them, as they nearly have on a couple of occasions, then maybe they can incite a military coup. The Democrats have been riling up left-wing extremists against Trump and Republicans for years now. The next logical step would be to create descension in the ranks of the US Military. This course of action leads down a dark path. Outright civil war seems to be on the table as tools for elements of the left-wing Democrats. This cannot be simply dismissed as alarmism, or hyperbole as leftist radicals have already engaged in political violence. They already have a paramilitary arm in the ironically-named Antifa, they’ve already inspired several assassination attempts of political figures. It’s becoming increasingly obvious, that what the Democrats cannot achieve through the ballot box, they are prepared to achieve through other means.
