Quick Thoughts: I Voted Today

I voted today. I’m in a deep blue town in a deep blue state, so none of my candidates will likely win. I did earn the right to complain about politics for another year. I’m thinking about all those others who also voted today across America. I thought about the Republican supporters who will likely be disappointed in their candidates, even if they win. I thought about those Republicans and/or Trump voters who sat this one out and how they fail to grasp the seriousness of the situation. I thought about the old-fashioned tax-and-spend Democrats who voted the party line for “affordability”. Could you tell me one thing that became more affordable under Biden or a Democrat controlled Congress? I thought about those who voted for DSA candidates. Do you understand they’d destroy this country as we’ve known it, or was that the whole point of your support? Anyway, I think we’re in for an interesting two years, regardless of who wins.
