This is going to be a really quick thought… By now, you’ve probably heard about the USAID scandal. (If you want to read about it, here’s one place you might start.) Money going to a lot of bad actors and left-wing pet causes. It’s been accused, credibly, of being a slush fund and a money laundering operation. All of it being done away from the eyes of the American people– until now.

The more I read about the misuse of tax dollars, the apparent waste, fraud, and abuse, it’s becoming clear why some in Washington didn’t want Trump to become president. It’s becoming more and more obvious to me why they tried to ruin, imprison, and even incited assassination attempts against him. We’re way beyond mere policy disagreements. Members of the Deep State (yes, there is one) had a lucrative thing going at USAID. USAID, of course will turn out to be just one of probably many agencies that time and a little investigation by DOGE shows to be conduits for graft and corruption. The election of a new and savvier Trump 2.0 meant the likely end to their gravy train.

Why did so many on the left go so far as to instigate not one, but two nearly successful assassination attempts? Maybe they knew that if Trump were ever to get in the White House again– this time bringing in a wiser, and yes, more loyal crew, their days at feeding at the public trough would be over. The Democrat Left didn’t pull out all the stops, engaging in banana republic politics for mere ideological reasons alone, they did it also and mainly to protect their lucrative underground economy.
