Quick thoughts on the death of Charlie Kirk

This has to end. Leftism needs to be relegated to the ash heap of history with Communism, socialism, and fascism. Charlie Kirk was killed because he was making strides towards doing just that. We have to continue on with that and do it as he did it, though learning, discipline, and conviction. While the other side embraces violence, we must embrace reason and faith.

Four years ago: At what cost “unity”?

Four years ago, then president elect Joe Biden called for unity. What he was really calling for was surrender, surrender of our values, surrender of the republic our Founding Fathers meant for us. Four years later America remains divided. The difference this time around, is that those of us who would not part with their American ideals are in the ascendency.

The Subjective Morality of the Left

When the idea of the class struggle did not catch on in the West, the Marxists sought out other differences between groups to shoehorned into the oppressor vs. oppressed dichotomy. To that end, the cultural Marxists have sought out every conceivable way in which groups of people can be divided against themselves. Their strategy is literally divide and conquer.

The Immorality of Cultural Marxism

An offshoot of the original Marxist ideology is known as Cultural Marxism. Where pure, classical Marxism deals with a struggle between the capitalist and working classes, this expanded form of Marxism seeks to pit other groups against each other in an oppressor vs. oppressed dynamic. These groups which cultural Marxists (read Leftists) pit against include, but are not limited to rich vs. poor, black, vs, white, minority vs majority, gay vs. straight, men vs. women, and so on.

The Appeal of Leftism

Leftists tend to see only the superficial benefits of what they do, and rarely explore the second and third order of consequences to their policies. Corrupt politicians use leftist appeal to people's sense of altruism to achieve power. When the bill finally comes due for their reckless policies, they are long gone. It's the Left's casual, well-meaning supporters who are among those left paying the price.

Quick Thought: Individualism is the moral way to deal with people.

It should come as no surprise then, that a focus on group rather than individual identity is paramount. Also, it is not surprising that collective punishment is part of the leftist way. Neither is it any wonder that meritocracy, which is a function of the individual, is not valued to nearly the degree it is by the right.
