Happy Flag Day 2020!
So much more than a decoration or a national logo, the American flag represents the American ideals espoused in our founding document: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Honoring and respecting the flag is how we express our unending support for these ideas.
They gave up their safety for freedom.
On June 6th, 1944, tens of thousands of American heroes gave up every last shred of safety for liberty. Sadly, Americans are now giving up their liberty for safety.
