In essays to follow, when I refer to "conservatism" I'll usually be referring to American conservatism, but first, let's define what conservatism is in general. At the root of the word is (to) conserve, or to control or prevent loss. LR Podcast, Episode #51: “War of Words”
The left's assault on the English language continues, most recently with their attempt to redefine the word "infrastructure". "Control the language and you control the debate," is an axiom in the worlds of politics, the law, and anywhere else where influencing thought is considered valuable. The left, being well aware of this has been working for decades redefining words. Terms like racist, fascist, and justice have been so far removed from their meanings as to become unrecognizable to those of us who know the original, correct definitions.
The Left’s Assault on the English Language Continues
The left, more specifically, Democrats on the left, wish us to conflate infrastructure with those things that infrastructure makes possible, cell phone use, your personal mode of transportation, daycare. LR Podcast Episode #48: Critical Race Theory Exposed
As explained in the article, CRT in its ultimate form is anathema to all American conservative thought. The objective of its proponents is nothing less than the complete overthrow of our American way of life in favor of a race-based, fascistic autocracy with unelected leaders at its head.
LR Podcast Episode #47: Never have so many owed so much.
This is just the beginning. The Democrats will announce (safe prediction) a "climate crisis", after or even before the COVID-19 crisis is over in order to justify more spending and greater control of the economy. This will open the door more massive Green New Deal spending and regulation.
LR Podcast Episode #46: Answer in the form of a question
He did without a hint of irony, suggest we could celebrate Independence Day and America's freedom, if we do exactly what the government tells us.
