I'm not his biggest fan, but Trump showed me something Wednesday. He showed me that he's willing to do the hard things, he's willing to put his candidacy on the line. Meanwhile, Hillary has been MIA for most of the past fortnight. She hasn't even gone to Louisiana after both Trump and President Obama went. Baton Rouge should be mostly dry by now, will she ever go?
Donald Trump
Should other Republicans emulate Trump’s pivot to the black community?
Republicans have to either push to admit more states into the union with favorable demographics, or do better with the minority vote in the current fifty.
The faulty rational of persistent #nevertrump’ers
This was to finally be the year of the movement conservative. What none of them realized, was that the white, non-college educated working man had abandoned the Republican party two elections ago.
What the Trump campaign could be doing better.
Don't waste effort defending statements and actions that have little or nothing to do with winning the White House.
Drama Packed into the First Two Days of the RNC Convention
It’s hard to believe that this much drama could be packed into just the first two days of the convention, but this has been no ordinary election year, the Republican nominee is no ordinary politician, so it follows that this would be no ordinary convention.
Exit Cruz, Exit Conservatism?
If in July in Cleveland the Republicans focus on the commonalities rather than the differences between Trump and conservative wing of the party some degree of unity can be achieved. If they do, they’ll be the stronger for it. If they don’t it could be a long, hot summer.
Quick Thoughts 5/3/16
The Cruz-Kasich alliance is better termed a mutual non-aggression pact. It's true that Kasich didn't call for his supporters to vote for Cruz to stop Trump in Indiana, but he did pull his operation out of Indiana in favor of more fertile grounds in Washington and New Mexico. Some in the media were quick to call it a failure, the truth is we won't know until those states vote, starting on Tuesday.
The Northeast Enjoys the Primary Spotlight
The presidential primaries are usually settled by the time many states in the Northeast vote.
Quick Thoughts, 3/22/16
Call it vanity, call if a fools hope, but Governor John Kasich remains in the race to the Republican nomination even though he has no path to victory at the ballot box.
The Odd Couple of Trump and Carson
Carson adds an air of civility while providing some meat to Donald’s thinner policies. Some of the doctor’s loyal followers, those who admire his reserved, quite strength and wisdom will have a tough time following him down this new path he has chosen.
