We are a divided nation, but our Constitution is strong. It has allowed us to retain our God-given rights. It has not weakened but strengthened our democracy by returning issues that once were out of reach of the democratic process back into the domain of the people, subject to their will. Even the acute mismanagement we've faced of late can be resolved and overcome with the strength, perseverance, and commitment to first principles.
What Trudeau is doing is above and beyond what the situation calls for. What he and his flowers are doing resembles less what leaders of liberal democracies do, and more what the craven, despot rulers of the last century did.
The left, more specifically, Democrats on the left, wish us to conflate infrastructure with those things that infrastructure makes possible, cell phone use, your personal mode of transportation, daycare. Even under the most liberal definition of infrastructure, these would count as personal or private infrastructure, not public.
